Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 08.26.2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Oklahoma FFA Association ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with your use of this website (the "Site"), which provides information related to Oklahoma FFA contests, events, and related resources.
1. Information We Collect
We designed this Site to be informational only. We do not operate user accounts, and the Site does not include forms that collect personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number.
The only information collected through the Site is gathered automatically through standard website technology, described below.
Cookies and Automatically Collected Information
The Site is built on the Squarespace platform, which uses cookies and similar tracking technologies (such as pixels or local storage) to operate the Site and to collect basic analytics data — for example, which pages are visited, general geographic region, device/browser type, and how visitors move through the Site. This is the same standard functionality used across Squarespace-hosted websites generally; we do not add any custom tracking or analytics tools of our own.
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may affect certain Site functionality. For more detail on how Squarespace itself collects and processes this data, see Squarespace's own privacy policy and cookie notice at squarespace.com.
2. Third-Party PDF Viewer
The Site uses a third-party embedded tool to display contest documents and other PDF materials. This tool is operated by a third-party provider, not by us. Your interaction with that embedded viewer (for example, if it uses its own cookies or collects usage data) is governed by that provider's own privacy practices, which we do not control and are not responsible for. We recommend reviewing the provider's privacy policy if you have questions about how it handles data.
3. How We Use Information
Because the Site does not collect personal information directly from visitors, we do not use visitor data for marketing, sales, or profiling. Any aggregate analytics data made available to us through Squarespace (e.g., overall traffic trends) is used solely to understand Site usage and improve content.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade visitor information. Information may be accessible to:
Squarespace, as our website hosting and platform provider, in accordance with its own privacy policy; and
The third-party PDF viewer provider, only to the extent inherent in loading that embedded tool.
We do not otherwise share visitor information with third parties, except where required by law.
5. Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for FFA members, advisors, educators, and the general public seeking contest information, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because no personal information is collected through forms or accounts, we do not knowingly gather data covered by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) through this Site.
6. Data Retention
We do not retain personal information because none is collected directly through the Site. Any analytics data processed through Squarespace is retained according to Squarespace's own data retention practices.
7. Your Choices
Because the Site relies on standard browser cookies rather than direct data collection, your primary control is through your browser settings, where you can block or delete cookies at any time.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Site or for legal or operational reasons. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
