  • Rules:

    • The presentation and interview are worth 75% of the overall score (300 points).

    • Rules for the Oklahoma FFA Agriscience Fair will follow the National FFA Agriscience Fair guidelines unless otherwise stated. A complete handbook, set of rules, score sheet, and description of project components are available at the National FFA website. There have been numerous updates for the 2027 submission year:

    • Interview times will be assigned. This is an opportunity for judges to ask participants questions related to their project. The interview process will be a maximum of 5 minutes in length for the presentation, with an additional 5 minutes for questions.

    • A project board must accompany the oral presentation. However, no additional props are permitted. Ten points shall be deducted for oversized project boards.

      • Project Board Stipulations and Dimensions:

        1. Boards shall not exceed 36 inches high by 48 inches wide.

        • The complete display, including methods of attaching as needed (easel, stand, etc.) shall not exceed the dimensions of 38 inches high (from the top of the table to the top of the display) by 48 inches wide, nor shall boards be smaller than 28 inches high by 38 inches wide.

        • Project boards are intended to supplement the presentation and enhance its overall clarity. Project boards will not be directly scored for visual appeal; however, presentation clarity will be scored. A poorly assembled board with inaccurate information could influence how a judge may score the presentation’s clarity.

        • See the individual and team presentation rubrics for detailed scoring information.

        • A project will be disqualified for the following reasons: (a) incomplete application, (b) missing signatures, (c) project is not related to agriculture, (d) no research is conducted, (e) project is not declared or version numbers differ throughout the application, (f) absence of a project board, or (g) any criterion set by National FFA (See the National FFA Agriscience Fair Handbook p. 12).

        • Category determinations will not be conducted by FFA staff. It is the responsibility of the student(s) to determine the most appropriate AFNR pathway in which to submit their project.

State FFA Convention

  • Division winners are required to exhibit their project board in the Career Show at the State FFA Convention.

  • Set up in the Career Show will take place between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 4, 2027, inside the exhibit hall of the Cox Convention Center, Tulsa.

  • Project boards must be removed from the Career Show on Wednesday, May 5, 2027, between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Projects Advancing to National FFA Level Scoring

  • Each state association may submit a single application for national-level competition in each award area available at the national level each year.
